Amy Wilson

Amy Wilson is a Research Associate and PhD candidate at the Ehrenberg-Bass Institute, University of South Australia. She has an Honours degree in Psychology, a research Masters in Marketing. Her research focuses on the use of marketing strategies (i.e. nudging, associative learning, advertising etc) to understand and influence health behaviours with a particular focus on diet and physical activity. Her regularly presents her work at marketing, health and social marketing conferences and has published in a range of marketing and health journals, including Food Quality and Preference, Australasian Marketing Journal, Nutrients and the International Journal of Market Research. Amy has been involved in various academic and industry research projects across both health and marketing – including clients from local and state government, retailers, and not-for-profits. She co-developed and co-coordinates a cross-disciplinary undergraduate course “Marketing for Health and Wellbeing” which received the UniSA Business School “Top Teaching Team” award in 2017. The course teaches students from health and marketing backgrounds how marketing concepts can be used to promote products, services and behaviour change that promoted health and wellbeing. Amy is a co-author of a Social Marketing chapter in “Marketing, Theory Evidence and Practice, 2nd edition”, as well as a chapter “Putting Nudges into Perspectives” in the recently published  “Eat Your Greens.”
